Deceived; Chapter 12

Shame took over me. I felt I shouldn't have sent him a photo of me. But I'm glad that we both know how we look like, kind of.

I sent him the photo on his email since we can't on DM. I also sent him an attaching message, "Tell me what you think on twitter, and sorry if I wasn't as pretty as you expected."

I can admit, I wasn't pretty to the extent where guys drool over me. I had some flaws and imperfections.

I felt my phone vibrate.
"Are you kidding me? Your GORGEOUS :O" he said, "you're even prettier than I imagined!"

I sensed heat on my right cheek which then began to redden more than its actual color.

"Thank you! You made my day<3" I answered, "hey, where's my picture? Your avatar isn't enough! ghaneya.*****@hotmail.com"

He sent a couple of photos of him with friends, I could tell which was him from his avatar.

He looked so handsome in each and every one of his 5 photos! His light brown hair, tanned skin, and his dark green eyes were so attractive.

I decided to act cool with him, "You're not so bad yourself hehe xx"

He kept complimenting me saying that my looks were how he wanted his dream girl to be.

I replied to him saying his looks were how I wanted my dream man to be.

-

Sun rays awoke me at 6 AM indicating it was Sunday, yes, Sunday, the worst day of the week. I also had a big math test coming up. A week had passed since I sent him my picture. Throughout the week, Fouad has been complementing me so sweetly. I never actually felt this beautiful, ever.

Today's classes were boring. I hadn't been paying much attention in school since all I do is DM Fouad.

Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday went by so fast in a blink of an eye. Tomorrow was Wednesday, which means I had this big math test that covers everything we studied in the passed month. It was hard for me to focus since all I did was chat with Fouadii.

"Omg Fouad!!!" I exclaimed.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?!" he asked worriedly.

"Not really.. I have a huge math test tomorrow and I don't know a thing!" I complained.

"Well.. I am quite a math genius myself.." he flaunted.

"Great! Teach me this please." I emailed him few pictures of everything we covered.

"That's too much, I can't explain it through messages" he wrote, "their explanations are too long."

"Oh.." I replied unhappily, "now what?"

"Give me your number." he commanded.

I wasn't comfortable with the idea but I didn't see any wrong in it, he was going to teach me school work, after all.

"+(973)36******" I obeyed.

Minutes later. I felt my phone vibrate. I clicked on the green 'Answer' tab and began talking.

Deceived; Chapter 11

"EXCEPT THAT I MADE THE TEAM!" I typed in joy.

"Oh my god really?! Congrats beautiful!<3 So happy for you!!" he said happily, I could tell.

"Yes!! Thank you handsome:*" I started jumping around my bed so blissfully.

I was so shocked the moment she accepted me. The dance teacher loved my performance, she loved the way I put my full ability and potential into this dance.

I skipped lunch, food is my only solution to depression and not happiness. I was too happy to even leave my room. I stayed and chatted with Fouad until my father entered the room. I looked at the clock, it was 6:30 in the early evening.

"Ghaneya! How were the auditions?" he inquired.

"I made it! I made the team!" I ran into him for a hug as soon as I replied.

"That's great! I knew you could do it." he hugged even tighter.

My father has always supported me. He supported me in science fairs, after-school activities, and almost everything else.

He roamed around the room admiring the posters of singers I hung up on my wall.

While he was at it, I opened my phone to check with Fouad. I told him that my father was happy too and all, later he told me a joke about a rabbit in the bathroom. I laughed out loud which caused my father to hear me.

"What's so funny? Who are you talking to?" he questioned with a smile.

"My friend Maram, remember her? Her brother just told me a joke, he's hilarious!" I laughed.

"Oh yeah her! What's his name?" he asked again.

My father is the open minded type of man, he's willing to listen to anything, and he's willing to give you advice.

"Fouad." I said.

"Ah.. okay but make sure you focus more on school than him." he made sure.

"He doesn't distract me, don't worry." I assured him.

He made his way through my brown, wooden door and left me on my bed.

I lifted my phone from my red duvet and saw words I never expected Fouad to say.

"Can you please send me a clear picture of you?"

I replied in shock, "Um.. I don't know, why?"

He wrote back in 1 minute, "Come on.. You saw my avatar, and I've known you for almost a month, don't I deserve it?:("

I thought about it and then agreed.

I went to my wardrobe to put on a nice top, and fixed my hair a bit. I never really applied lipstick or anything makeup related. My lips were naturally red, my cheeks were naturally pink, and my eyelashes were naturally long and thick. I got them from the genes of my beloved mother.

I moved all my hair to the right side of my face, looked at the camera and smiled attractively.

It took about a while to find the picture I loved.

"Come on, where's my picture Ghaneya?! I need to see you :*" he wrote.

"It's coming, hold on have patience, Fouad ;p" I answered.

"I can't, I cant wait to see the most beautiful girl I've talked to for so long!" he typed to me.

"How do you know I'm beautiful?" I said with a giggle.

"A girl with a character like yours? You must be!" I ignored what he wrote to avoid more sweet comments.

I chose the best picture out of all 10 photos and clicked Send.

Deceived; Chapter 10

I had this chapter all written out but my laptop didn't have charge so I'm posting it right now :Dx

-

I was standing in an unbelievably long line. I was afraid not getting chosen with the required 30, when the line consisted of 60 girls.

I watched girls' names getting called up, with their head held high as they walked, their smile stretched so wide, their chest gestured upright to show they had confidence, and also watched some with wet faces that had endless tears rolling down their cheeks.

It was almost my turn. I watched every single girls' dance routine, to see if I was better than them. They were sure a lot more flexible than I ever was or ever will be. Amazing dances caught my eye, but what also did catch my eye was overhearing our dance teacher reject it. It was quite frightening.

"Ghaneya Al-*****, your up." our dance teacher called out.

At first, I was forcing myself to stay in reluctance. Eyes began to look at me, so I couldn't stay any longer.
The music began to play, and all of a sudden I imagined myself the only one in the room, I danced and danced and danced! I thought I danced better now than I did then at my rehearsals.

I went up on stage and danced my heart out. I made it sure to look like I've been working so hard for this.

My dance ended, so I stood up tall with a grin on my face and waited to be judged.

-

I ran back to the car, and headed back home.

I entered the house and marched up the stairs and straight away, skipped lunch, and headed to my room to charge my iPhone. It ran out of charge today out school since I was talking to Fouad in some of my classes and so did he.

I clicked on Twitter and headed to his user and noticed he began talking a long time ago.

"Hey G<3"

"Oh yeah.. you're in your dance auditions"

"I really wish I could see you dance, you've got to Skype me sometime and show me once my camera gets fixed!"

"I miss you"

Those messages touched me and made me smile.

"Hey F<3 I miss you more :(" I replied.

"Sooo?! how were the auditions?!" he asked.

"Good except that" I told him.

"Except what baby?" he answered.

"EXCEPT THAT I MADE THE TEAM!" I typed in joy.

Deceived; Chapter 9

Sorry I couldn't post yesterday, hopefully 10 as well will be written x

-

3 weeks passed with Fouad and I talking to each other. I stopped leaving the house every weekend, I'd much rather stay home and talk to Fouad than being judged by my two friends. They tend to ask me to stay away from him because I met him through twitter. I denied it and said he is different, kind, sweet, and almost more understanding than they ever were!

My father was nowhere to be seen nowadays. He was usually hiding in between his laptop and office work papers. I began eating lunch by myself, and watched television by myself, seems like I was on my own for a while. But Fouad, he never left me stranded, he helped me whenever I was depressed, I was able to open up to him, and indeed did I brag to him about how much I miss Fahad.

I spent today relaxing as usual. I spent every Saturday surfing the web, munching on salty popcorn while watching movies, and most importantly talking to Prince Fouad.

While I was in the middle of watching the silliest film and while talking to Fouad, of course, I heard the front door open. It was one of those lucky days when my father came back home early.

He entered the house slowly, with quite a straight face. I questioned his face appearance and got no reply.

The rest of the day from their onward was typical. I talked to Fouad about my dad, and wondered why he was acting so dull. He told me to give it some time, and I did.

I descended down the cold, marble staircase, on my way to grab some dinner laying for me on the kitchen counter. My father was there, on his laptop with his reading glasses on. He had his knuckles against the side of his face, pushing his cheeks upwards. This wasn't my father, he never gave me the silent treatment.

I don't intend to disturb his cranky moods. I ignored him and made my way through the kitchen and sat on our high kitchen stools that faced my father, and began cutting my medium, rared steak into tiny cubes.

"Ghaneya" my father broke in silence.

"Ghaneya, I'm sorry I ignored you, it's just that things have been really tough and difficult at work nowadays." he apologized.

"I understand, it's okay." I replied with a big smile.

"So tomorrow's your dance auditions?" he asked.

"Yeah, I'm nervous." I said anxiously.

-

So today's my dance auditions. God I really hope I make it, it's the only extra curricular activity that I'm actually good at!

I spent a whole month rehearsing my dance routine.

I woke up, ate a heavy breakfast and was off to school.

I took out my phone and went straight to twitter and tweeted "Dance auditions today! Wish me luck." before I could check any of Fouad's messages.

"Good morning gorgeous! Good luck with your auditions today, really wish I could watch you dance<3" he sent me.

"Good morning handsome! Hahaha one day you will. Thank you<3" i said back.

I thanked everyone else's good lucks and got out of the car, grabbed my bag, and watched the school day go by.

Deceived; Chapter 8

I was scared and a part of me felt guilty for keeping it from them.

When they asked me who he was, I remembered the first day we talked, I felt I was doing something wrong, but talking to him just felt so right.

"Look, I was about to tell you tonight." I confessed.

"Well, explain to us then." Munya said.

I explained every single detail from him wanting to get to know me till him checking on me and taking care of me.

"Next time you better tell us sooner." said Malak.

"Of course." I replied.

"But um.. Ghaneya?" asked Munya.

"Yeah?" I looked at her sad face.

"Please be careful, I mean, you don't even know him."

"Trust me, I know what I'm doing, don't worry." I leaned in for a hug.

The rest of the night was amazing. We slept at 3 AM and woke up at 10. We decided to eat breakfast outside the house, so we made our way to Munya's car where her driver was waiting, and drove off.

I checked my phone and opened to Fouad's chat and noticed that he already messaged me.

"Good morning beautiful" he said.

"Good morning<3" I replied.

"How's my princess doing?" he asked.

So as you can see, he likes to flirt with me and make me feel special, I started to be sweet to him back because I assume I've known him long enough.

"I'm okay, how are you doing? x" I asked back.

"How can one talk to you and not be fine?" my cheeks turned red once I read the words he wrote to me.

"Ahaha :$" I replied shyly.

"So, what are you up to?" I love the way he keeps the conversation going.

"Not much really, just on my way to grab breakfast with my friends" I answered, "you?"

"Be careful okay? Ahh.. I'm just at my uncle's house"

After he wrote that, I was forced to put my phone away by Malak and just eat what was on my plate which was crepe with chocolate and a blueberry muffin, it was amazing how fast we arrived. I lost track of time while talking to Fouad..

-

My father called me and said the driver was waiting for me outside, so i left Munya's house and thanked her for the amazing time and entered our navy, blue car.

On my way home, I took out my phone to answer Fouad back.

"Sorry I answered late, I was sort of busy xx"

In a matter of seconds, my phone vibrated.

"Hahaha no worries, who can be mad at you?"

I love the way he treats me, the way he writes to me. His use in words is so exquisite. I smile whenever he talks to me, I smile whenever he complements me, I shouldn't be feeling this right now, considering I never even met him, but I think my feelings towards Fouad is different than my feelings towards any accustomed 'guy' friend.

Deceived; Chapter 7

Dedicated to Dana for being such an amazing supporter xx

-

"Ghaneya! Time for school, your breakfast is downstairs and your clothes are in the closet!" Lucy screamed in my left ear causing my eyes to open.

I managed to get up, change, and head downstairs for breakfast.

I took my phone with me to see what's up with Fouad.

He messaged me 5 minutes ago, "Good morning G<3"

It made me smile the way he thought about me once he woke up.

"Good morning F :D"

I wanted to keep our friendship steady and not rush into adding hearts or anything since I barely know the guy.

I ran to the car since I had half an hour till school begins.

He told me he had to go to school as well and told me to take care.

-

The school day passed by quickly, same old boring classes.

I couldn't wait for school to end, actually. I wanted to check my phone to see if Fouad talked to me.

And he did, "Ghaneya hey, how was school?:*"

My heart smiled automatically.

"Hey Fouad! It was fine, nothing special, you?"

"It was okay, hey you haven't told me when your dance auditions are?"

We talked until it was time for me to start my homework. I told him my auditions were in 3 weeks.

As soon I was done my easy homework which was and English worksheet and to bring an Arabic notebook, I laid down on my bed and started to juggle my phone with one hand.

We didn't receive so much homework nowadays, since school just began a month ago.

-

A week passed by with me returning home, talking to Fouad till I fell asleep, and waking up talking to him.

It was sort of like I was attached to him. I couldn't spend a day without talking to him. I stand corrected, he isn't a creep, he really is a sweet, kind, young gentleman. He checks on me every now and then, asks me where I'm going, and asking me to watch out.

It was Thursday, and as usual, the girls and I decided to meet up with Malak.

We left to Mayyar's house this time, after meeting Malak in a tiny restaurant.

We rented movies, ate popcorn, and had sort of a girls night in.. until 11:30 PM.

Malak and I went back to Munya's. She asked if we wanted to sleep over. We asked our parents, and they condoned.

I have been talking to Fouad since school ended this afternoon. The girls suspected something's happening, they watched me smile at my phone screen. I could see that they were watching me whenever I looked up.

I left my phone on Munya's bedside table and entered the bathroom to change into her pajamas that she lent me.

As I exited her blue tiled bathroom, I stared at Malak and Munya both looking through my phone with their eyes widened. I almost forgot to lock my phone but instead left it on Fouad's conversation. Could I get any stupider?

They looked up in confusion and shock and asked me, "Ghaneya, who's Fouad?"

Deceived; Chapter 6

This post is dedicated to @bahrainiblogge1 she's amazing, wallah.

-

"Hey, how you doin'?"

What? :/

I replied to him with a "Hello, do I know you?"

"Not really but you could." he answered.

Is he for real?

"I'm sorry, but I can't talk to people I don't know." I typed back.

He managed to answer in a matter of minutes and some even seconds!

"That's why we should get to know each other" I could feel his mind forcing him to know me.

"I don't know.. I'll get back to you." I said.

"Take your time <3" I felt his frown flip upside down, which explains the heart he added at the end.

I simply ignored him, and really thought whether I should or not get to know him. He seems normal, right? I don't think he's one of those desperate guys, he doesn't look like them, though.

I fell asleep thinking whether or not I should get to know him.

-

I was awakened by the sound of the most annoying phone vibration ever.

I fell asleep with my phone on my stomach, which caused me to wake up since it vibrated against my skin.

I checked what was the cause of it vibrating.

Turns out Fouad has been sending me DMs throughout the night asking me if I thought about it.

I felt sorry for him since he's been begging, and if I don't confirm, god knows what this kid will try to do.

I answered him politely saying "Yes I did, and okay."

He replied in a matter of seconds, literally. God, doesn't this boy ever sleep?

"Thank you! <3"

"No problem, now go ahead, introduce yourself.." I was acting partially cold with him.

He instantly replied to my message with a paragraph.

"My name is Fouad Al-*****, I'm 17 years old. I go to a private school in Qatar. I am in love with something called soccer, I play it all the time at school, home, and sometimes in the street whenever I see I ball laying around. I have a soccer team in school, actually. I'm the captain hahaha. Red is my favorite color, and so is green. I have a pair of twins as younger siblings, a girl and a boy. My mother is a pediatrician, she helps sick kids at the government hospital. My father is a very successful lawyer, we barely see him. Your turn, ;;)"

Woah. He wrote that all in a minute? I can't even write 1 perfect paragraph in 24 hours!

I began writing back a paragraph to him, which took me about 5 minutes to completely type out ..
"My name is Ghaneya Al-*****, I'm 15 years old, I go to a private school in Bahrain. My favorite hobby is singing and dancing. I am gonna tryout for the dance team this year, hopefully. Pink is my favorite color. I have 1 elder brother that goes to university. He's studying in Canada. My mother passed away when I was young, she used to be a high school teacher, though. And my father is a Banker."

Fouad replied a bit later than usual this time.

"Oh nice! Hey, you haven't told me, do you have any boy.. guy... possibly boyfriend?"

"No way. So not that type of girl, don't worry." I answered back.

"Me neither, I am like the only person in my grade without a girlfriend LOL" he said.

"Me too! hahah" I wrote back.

We talked till the end of the day, since I stayed at home relaxing before school tomorrow.
