Deceived; Chapter 4

Sorry I didn't post earlier, too busy xx

-

So I finally created a Twitter account. I wrote my name as Ghaneya Al*****, and began following my closest friends, first.

I had a total of 296 followings and about 114 followers of all the people I knew.

At around 2 PM, I recieved a phone call from Rania saying to meet her with the rest of the girls at her house.

The girls and I planned that I will pick them all up.

We were kind of excited since we never had the chance to go beyond the yellow, front gate. Her house is still under renevation. She would always come over to our houses instead of vise versa. Although we've met her mom quite a few times at different occasions, her dad was never around, and she hardly mentions him.

About 30 minutes after the girls and I planned me picking them up, I recieved a phone call, once again from Rania saying it's her Uncle's birthday and that we had to reschedule. So, the girls and I decided to go shopping instead.

At 7 PM, our hands were fully occupied with enormous, shopping bags. The only thing our mind was set on was our hunger screaming inside of us. We were craving frozen yogurt, so we bought one for each of us.

After a long, tiring day, I finally changed from my blue, denim jeans, to my bright, pink shorts. From my white flowy shirt, to a snow, white tanktop. I brushed my teeth, and finally layed down on my water bed covered with a dark red douvet. I grabbed my brand new phone off the charger and observed what was in and around it.

I clicked on the twitter icon to check how far my followers became, and I noticed I got 5 new followers, out of which, 4 were my classmates. 1 of them was a guy named Fouad Al*****. I clicked on his avatar and saw him on a black horse smiling so happily to the camera. He looked about 16 to 17 years old. He had the same last names as an old friend I used to know called Maram.

His looks weren't bad, he had light brown hair, and a skin tone similar to mine. I could sense a dark shade of green eyes that the sun shone on. His bright, orange t shirt complmented his tanned skin a bit more.

Maram and I have not been friends ever since the second grade after she stole my animal crackers. I know it was so immature of us, but we were young and had no clue. I remember she mentioned she had a brother older than her, so Fouad's probably him.

I clicked on the 'follow' button and officially followed him back with full confidence and without any second thought.
